MRSA Disinfectants Approved by the EPA

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a contagious bacterial infection and “superbug”. It is important for medical facilities to keep a clean environment as this antibiotic-resistant is a threat to older individuals and those with health conditions.  MRSA is already present in 5% of inpatients and 1/3 people carry staph infection bacteria on their skin and nose.

Both of these bacteria are not a problem unless they enter the body and cause infections. Sepsis and pneumonia may occur and can be fatal because the common tools to fight these infections: methicillin, penicillin, vancomycin, and oxacillin do not work any more.

MRSA Approved Disinfectant List:

Some bacteria live up to three months on clinic surfaces!

MRSA and the common forms of flu virus which are present on hard surfaces in doctor’s offices and hospitals can be killed using periodic decontamination services.
